Priyanka Chopra Idris Elba and John Cena will appear with in the upcoming action movie which has yet to be named
With the release of her spy thriller web series Citadel on Amazon Prime, Priyanka Chopra will make her OTT debut. However, the actor has already signed a new contract with Amazon Studios before the show even airs. She will next be seen in the action movie Heads of State alongside actor Idris Elba and former professional wrestler John Cena. Priyanka is preparing for the premiere of her Hollywood movie Love Again, which also stars Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, in addition to Citadel. In May of this year, it will be released. Additionally, she co-stars in the movies Ending Things with Anthony Mackie and Jee Le Zaraa alongside actor-director Farhan Akhtar.
The filming of Heads of State is scheduled to start in May, according to a report on Deadline. The script was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec based on a story by Harrison Query, and it will be directed by Ilya Naishuller of Nobody fame. The source also makes a suggestion that the movie will be similar to Air Force One and Midnight Run.
Prior to beginning the marketing for Citadel, Priyanka was recently spotted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s opening in Mumbai. Following the weekend’s two-day NMACC inaugural celebration, Priyanka attended the Mumbai premiere of The Citadel on Tuesday. Richard Madden, who played her co-star, joined her. On April 28, the first two episodes of the series will make their international debut on Amazon Prime in 40 different languages. Later, more episodes will be made available.
The Citadel plot centres on two elite spies, Mason Kane (Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Chopra Jonas), who narrowly escaped death after the autonomous global intelligence agency Citadel was destroyed. According to the official synopsis, Mason seeks out Nadia, his former partner, and the two spies set out on a mission that takes them around the globe in an effort to halt Manticore, all the while navigating a relationship based on secrets, deception, and a risky-yet-enduring love. Additionally, it will serve as a launching point for regional series starring Matilda De Angelis, Varun Dhawan, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu that are now in production in India and Italy.
