Alia Bhatt Kareena Kapoor Khan and other Bollywood stars applaud Diljit Dosanjh for becoming the first Punjabi singer to perform at Coachella
When Diljit Dosanjh performed at Coachella, he made history by being the first Punjabi singer to ever take the stage at the music festival in Indio, California.
Diljit took the stage on Sunday wearing a black kurta-tamba, a matching turban, and striking gloves in bright yellow. The actor-singer’s clip was published on the festival’s official Twitter account, along with the message, “@diljitdosanjh got Sahara shining.”
Diljit also posted a few of his favourite images from the memorable evening with the simple phrase “Coachella.”
Imtiaz Ali, a director who attended the concert with his daughter Ida, posted a video of the celebrity performing on social media. “saadda vir te saaddi kudi #coachella..ich @diljitdosanjh you make us proud #firstindianatcoachella,” he wrote, singing his appreciation. I’m happy you could attend, @idaali11.
Many of Diljit’s Bollywood pals and co-stars flocked to their Instagram accounts to share footage of the star and praise his accomplishment in addition to fans posting pictures and videos of the singer having a joy on stage. On Sunday, Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, co-stars of Diljit’s film “Udta Punjab,” posted a clip of the actor performing at Coachella on their Instagram accounts. Bebo spelt out “The OG” while using numerous star and heart emoticons.
Alia posted the same video and remarked, “EPIC!!!!” in response to the singer’s “Ik Kudi” comment.
On his Instagram account, the “Ki & Ka” actor Arjun Kapoor referred to Diljit as the G.O.A.T., and Rakul Preet Singh expressed her joy at Diljit’s contribution to the advancement of Punjabi culture. Rakul published Dosanjh’s performance reel and penned “Wohoo Punjabi Fever at Coachella.” You are such a dynamic performer. Dil Jit Lita Sab Da.
