PeeCee says Men are extremely insecure of my success
At the London premiere of her action-thriller series Citadel on Tuesday, April 18, Priyanka Chopra looked stunning.
She chose a crimson deep-neck, off-shoulder gown, which resulted in amazing photographs.
PeeCee has been promoting Citadel while making shocking revelations.
She recently spoke about a variety of topics, including how men’s feelings of insecurity contribute to salary inequity.
She stated, “I have some amazing men in my life who are not insecure about my success, but I also have men in my life who are very insecure about my success.” So, in my opinion, men have benefited from the independence and pride that come with being the family’s provider or head of household.
“When a woman does that, or if a woman is more successful, or if a man is staying at home and a woman is going out to work, it’s threatening to their territory.”
Priyanka placed emphasis on avoiding gender-based prejudices when raising sons.
“They (the males) will feel horrible, but we have to instill in our sons that sobbing is perfectly OK. Tears can be shed without feeling guilty. Giving your mothers, sisters, and girlfriends the attention is perfectly OK, she insisted.
She recalled how her father never doubted her mother’s accomplishments and always backed her up.
“My mom was victimised by my dad. He remained in the military while she began her own private practise. My mum began to make more money than my dad, but they still treated it as a unit because ‘ghar pe hi toh aa raha hai’. No ego was present.
Richard Madden, one of her co-stars on the Citadel, sported a velvet black suit and matching trousers.
On the red carpet, Priyanka and husband Nick Jonas shared brief private moments because he couldn’t take his eyes off of her.
Nick sported a turtleneck underneath his all-black suit with angular lapels.
Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci also participate.
The Russo Brothers’ Citadel, which will have its Amazon Prime Video debut on April 28 with two episodes, will then air fresh episodes every Friday until May 26.
It centres on two top agents from the international secret organisation Citadel named Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka).
The actors from the Indian adaptation of Citadel, Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, were also present for the premiere.
Samantha chose a black co-ord set with a Bulgari neckpiece and bracelet, while Varun opted for a black t-shirt coupled with matching pants, boots, and a jacket.
Sushant Sreeram, director of marketing at Amazon Prime Video, joins writers Sita Menon, Krishna DK, Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, director Raj Nidimoru, and Aparna Purohit, head of India Originals at Amazon Prime Video.
