Black Mass will be Devanny Pinn’s feature-length directorial debut (Exclusive)

The movie, which is based on actual events involving a group of college ladies who were stalked by a serial murderer in 1970s Florida, will be shot by the horror star in Los Angeles.

Battle for Saipan’s Devanny Pinn, who is most known for her roles in a significant number of horror films, has set up her debut film as a filmmaker.

Black Mass, a criminal thriller set in the 1970s, will be directed by the actress and producer and will begin filming in Los Angeles on Friday.

Black Mass, which has nothing to do with the same-titled Johnny Depp gangster thriller from 2015, is based on true stories and takes place over the course of one day in Florida in the winter of 1978 when college ladies were being hunted by a serial killer. 

The cast will include Michelle Romano (Escape From Ensenada), Jeremy London, Lisa Wilcox, Lew Temple (The Walking Dead), and others. 

Eileen Dietz (The Exorcist), Kathleen Kinmont, Eva Hamilton, Chelsea Gilson, Jenny Wenger, Andrew Sykes, Jennifer Lynn Warren, and Susan Lanier also join the cast.

Roman Media and Pinn’s Jaguar Motion Productions are the producers of Black Mass for Cleopatra Entertainment. 

Executive producers include Brian Perera, Yvonne Perera, Brandon Slagle, Gigi Jankowski, and Miranda Mariposa. 

Tim Yasui is an associate producer along with Anjanette Miller and Susan Lanier.
