Dahaad, an upcoming Amazon Original crime drama, was announced by Prime Video. Dahaad will now make its Prime Video debut on May 12, 2023, after earlier this year becoming the first Indian television series to have its world premiere at The Berlinale International Film Festival. Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah are among the stars of the Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby-produced television series that Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar created.
Sonakshi Sinha makes her digital debut in Dahaad, which was directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. Sonakshi Sinha plays a tough lady officer who works to solve a grisly murder case while an unaware culprit is on the loose.
A small town police station is the setting for the eight-part crime drama series that follows Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati and her coworkers. Sub-Inspector Anjali Bhaati is given the case after a number of women are inexplicably found dead in public restrooms. As the cases develop, Anjali starts to have suspicions that a serial killer may be on the loose. At first, the murders seem to be obvious suicides. As she gathers evidence before another innocent woman loses her life, a skilled criminal and an underdog cop engage in a gripping game of cat and mouse.
