Kareena Kapoor claimed that Abhishek Bachchan will always hold a special place in her heart

With the 2000 film Refugee, Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan launched their careers in Bollywood. They later co-starred in JP Dutta’s LOC Kargil (2003) and Sooraj Barjatya’s Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003). However, once Abhishek’s relationship with Kareena’s older sister Karisma Kapoor ended in 2003, the two never appeared in a movie together. Kareena, however, claimed in an older video that just appeared online that Abhishek will always hold a special place in her heart and that she would always look at him with “joy and happiness”.

In spite of things between her sister Karisma and Abhishek going sour, Kareena claimed in an interview with veteran journalist Rajeev Masand in 2009 that she would always have a special place in her heart for Abhishek. “I have always insisted that Abhishek is the first actor with whom I have ever shot a scene,” she remarked. He occupies a very particular place in my heart that no actor or other person would ever be able to replace. I am proud, happy, and filled with love when I look at him. Things went south in a horrible way.
Kareena did, however, make it plain that, like Junior Bachchan, she does not feel comfortable working again with him on screen. “If he decides not to do a film with me, it’s vice versa,” she continued, “because I realise the comfort levels won’t be the same, same from my side as well. People ought to respect that, in my opinion.
Abhishek dated actor Aishwarya Rai after splitting from his longtime fiancée Karisma, and the two got married in 2007 as a result. Kareena said when asked if her relationship with Aishwarya has changed since she wed Abhishek, “There was never a problem with Aish. Since I have read so many interviews with her and because she is so kind and has always spoken to me whenever we have met, I don’t see why there would be a problem.
Laal Singh Chaddha was Kareena’s most recent film appearance with Aamir Khan. She will then appear in Rhea Kapoor’s film The Crew alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
