The six-year relationship between Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn has ended
According to a recent story, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have broken up. It has been stated that the pair split up peacefully a few weeks ago. Taylor and Joe started seeing each other covertly in the fall of 2016. They made their public debut in the early months of 2017.
The breakup was ‘not dramatic,’ according to a recent ET story. The relationship has just run its course,” read a statement from the article in ET. This explains why no one has seen [Alwyn] at any performances.
Taylor opened up to Entertainment Tonight about her romance with Joe last October of 2016. She had previously stated, “If you were in the lavender haze, that meant you were in that all-encompassing love glow.” In my opinion, that was stunning. In theory, when you’re high on lavender haze, you won’t budge from your cloud unless absolutely necessary.
She had further stated, “I think a lot of individuals have to deal with this now, not just ‘public figures,’ because we live in the age of social media, and if the world finds out that you are in love with somebody, they are going to weigh in on it. My six-year relationship has also been plagued by strange rumours and tabloid nonsense, but we’ve learned to ignore it. This song is about blocking off distractions so that you can focus on what really matters.
I know people want to know about that side of things,” Joe told Vogue in 2018. I guess it has now sunk in that we have been so discreet.
Taylor has embarked on the Eras Tour, visiting various locations across the world. There will be 52 stops throughout 20 cities. Taylor released four brand new songs before the tour began. She announced the release of four new songs on her Instagram Story: “In celebration of The Eras Tour I’m releasing 4 previously unreleased songs tonight at midnight 9 (clock and smile emoticon) Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version), Safe & Sound (Ft. Joy Williams and John Paul White) (Taylor’s Version), If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version), and All of the Girls You Loved Before.”
In October of last year, Taylor unveiled Midnights, her tenth studio album. Taylor’s 3am Edition of Midnights, which included seven new tracks, was a surprise release following the initial Midnights drop. The singer later admitted that her relationship with Joe served as inspiration for the album’s opening track, “Lavender Haze.”
Taylor’s earlier album, Lover, was similarly full of Joe-related lyrics. Songs like “London Boy,” “Lover,” and “Cornelia Street” on the 18-song CD gave the impression that they were written specifically for Joe.
